Our Care Ministry helps bring encouragement, support, and compassion to people during life’s important moments. Whether through prayer, visits, follow-up, encouragement, or practical care, this team helps ensure no one feels alone.
If you have a heart for people and a desire to serve with compassion, the Care Ministry is a meaningful way to make a difference behind the scenes and one-on-one.
LWC Kids: Trailblazers & Mountain Movers
At Living Word Church, we believe kids aren’t just the future of the Church—they’re a vital part of it right now. That’s why our LWC Kids ministries—Trailblazers (K–1st) and Mountain Movers (2nd–5th)—are designed to help children grow in faith, build strong biblical foundations, and experience God in a real and personal way.
Each Sunday, kids enjoy a dynamic environment that includes engaging Bible teaching, interactive activities, and meaningful connections with leaders who care. Our goal is to make church a place kids want to be—where they feel known, loved, and excited to learn about God.
Trailblazers begin building foundational truths in a fun, structured setting, while Mountain Movers go deeper—learning how to apply God’s Word in their everyday lives and grow in confidence in their faith.
We also place a high priority on safety, consistency, and relationship-building, so every child can thrive in a secure and encouraging environment.
Get Involved
We’re always looking for passionate, dependable volunteers who love kids and want to make a lasting impact. Whether you’re teaching, assisting, helping with check-in, or building relationships—there’s a place for you on the team.
Cleaning Team
The Cleaning Ministry serves behind the scenes to help create a clean, welcoming, and excellent environment for everyone who comes through the doors of Living Word Church. This volunteer team helps care for the building each week so that our services, classes, and ministry events are ready for people to gather, worship, and grow.
Overseen by a Ministry Coordinator, the Cleaning Ministry works together to keep classrooms, common areas, restrooms, and worship spaces clean and prepared. Their faithful service may often go unseen, but it makes a meaningful difference in the life of the church.
If you enjoy serving practically and making a difference behind the scenes, the Cleaning Ministry is a great place to get involved. Whether you are available regularly or occasionally, there is a place for you to serve as we work together to care for God’s house with excellence.
Reach Team
The Reach Team is all about sharing the love of God beyond the walls of the church. Through community outreach, special events, invitations, prayer, and practical acts of kindness, this team helps Living Word Church connect with people in real and meaningful ways. Whether serving at local events, welcoming new faces, or simply taking time to pray with someone, the Reach Team is focused on reaching the unreached and showing the love of Jesus in action.
If you have a heart for people and a desire to make a difference, the Reach Team is a great place to get involved. There are opportunities to serve in many different ways, whether you enjoy talking with people, helping behind the scenes, or being part of outreach events in the community.
Youth Ministry
Youth Group & Youth Nights
Our Youth ministry is designed for students in grades 6–12, with a heart to see young people grow in their relationship with God, build meaningful friendships, and discover who they are in Christ. Each week, students join the main service for a powerful time of worship and interaction with the church family before heading to their own age-specific class for relevant teaching, connection, and fun.
Youth Nights take place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. On these nights, we go out into the community to pick up students and bring them in for a meal before service. It’s a great opportunity to reach students, build relationships, and help them feel right at home.
We meet every Wednesday, and there’s always a place for students to belong, grow, and be encouraged.
If you’re looking to get involved, there are several ways to serve—especially during Youth Nights. We are always in need of drivers to help pick up students, as well as individuals or families willing to provide meals. Your involvement makes a direct impact in helping students experience the love of God and feel connected.
Media Department
Sound, Projection, Live Stream and more!
Our Media Department plays a vital role in every service, helping create an environment where people can clearly hear the message, engage in worship, and stay connected—both in the room and online.
This team includes Sound, Computer Projection, and Live Stream, working together behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly and with excellence.
From mixing audio… to displaying lyrics and scriptures… to streaming services for those joining remotely… every role helps remove distractions so hearts can stay focused on God.
In 1 Corinthians 14:40, we are reminded to let all things be done “decently and in order.” That’s the heart of this ministry.
You don’t have to be a tech expert to serve here—just faithful, teachable, and willing to learn.
As part of our vision of reaching the unreached and telling the untold of the love of God found in Christ Jesus, and helping believers find their place in the body of Christ, the Media Department is a great place to use your gifts and be part of what God is doing.
LWC Kids: Nursery & Young Explorers
Nursery & Young Explorers (Babies–Preschool)
Our Nursery and Young Explorers ministry serves our youngest children—from babies through preschool. Our goal is simple: to help every child know that God is good, Jesus loves them, and church is a safe place.
The early years of a child’s life are incredibly important. In these foundational years, the love, care, and encouragement children experience help shape their understanding of trust, faith, and belonging.
Our team creates a safe, loving environment where children are cared for, prayed over, and introduced to simple truths about Jesus through play, songs, and stories. At the same time, this ministry allows parents to worship and receive the Word knowing their children are safe and well cared for.
Serving in this ministry is not just childcare—it’s investing in the next generation of faith.
