Summer Prayer & Fasting

Listening To & Following God's Voice

July 12-15, 2026

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." - John 10:27

Join us for four days as our church family intentionally seeks God through prayer and fasting. Together we'll quiet the distractions of life so we can hear His voice more clearly, follow His leading, and continue walking in His will.

Why We Pray & Fast

Prayer and fasting help us quiet the distractions of life so we can draw closer to God, hear His voice more clearly, and follow His leading.

As a church family, we're setting aside these four days to intentionally seek Him together. Whether you've fasted many times or this is your first experience, we invite you to participate in a way that helps you focus on God.

Corporate Prayer Schedule

We invite everyone to gather for these special times of prayer throughout the week.

Sunday, July 12 • 6:30 PM

Monday, July 13 • 6:30 PM

Tuesday, July 14 • 11:00 AM

Wednesday, July 15
Pre-Service Prayer • 6:30–6:45 PM
Night of Worship & Communion • 7:00 PM
We'll conclude our prayer and fasting together with a special Night of Worship and Communion.

Fasting Ideas

Fasting is one of the biblical disciplines God has given us to strengthen our walk with Him.

It is a deliberate choice to say "no" to the desires of the flesh so we can say "yes" to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

As we deny ourselves, we learn to depend more fully on the Holy Spirit, becoming more attentive to God's voice and direction.

Choose a fast that helps you intentionally seek God.  Some options for you to consider:

Some Ideas

  • Food (one or more meals)
  • A Daniel Fast
  • Sweets
  • Social Media
  • Television or Streaming
  • Entertainment
  • Other distractions that compete for your attention

Remember

Fasting isn't about earning God's favor—it's about positioning our hearts to hear Him more clearly.

Replace what you set aside with:

  • Prayer
  • Worship
  • Reading God's Word
  • Listening for His leading

The goal isn't simply giving something up. The goal is making more room for God.

Prayer Journal

Throughout these four days, take time to write down:

  • Scriptures God highlights to you
  • Prayer requests
  • What you sense God speaking
  • Steps of obedience He places on your heart

When we intentionally listen, we often discover God has been speaking all along.

Invitation

We believe God desires to speak to His people.

Let's quiet the noise.

Let's seek Him together.

Let's listen to His voice.

And let's faithfully follow wherever He leads.
